Tattoo removal treatments work! I have received two laser treatments since my last blog post. Treatment 9 & 10 were pretty standard so I will group them into one post. My right ear continues to fade faster than the left – there is barely any ink left. My neck continues to fade at a steady pace.
I get asked all the time if tattoo removal hurts. My answer is always that is painful, but manageable. I am still managing through the pain. It is not fun and can be pretty intense. The numbing cream helps but I can definitely still feel the laser. I am able to work through it, but I will be glad to finally be through with this process!
The aftercare process is much easier. Dr. Brotzman now has me taking the bandage off the tattoo and exposing it to air three hours post treatment. I catch a lot more people staring at my neck during the healing process, but it is a fun conversation piece.
For years I have had to hide my tattoos when I go to events that aren’t tattoo friendly and for the first time ever, I was able to go somewhere and not cover or hide my tattoos. It was a great feeling and I am excited to reach the end of this process!
